Take it from a late 30's lady who knows what she wants & likes- I really appreciate & take notice of a man with bold eye contact & not afraid to really look at a woman. It's so sexy, however long the eye contact happens between you & the man, there is a moment of intimacy when you look your partner deeply in the eyes, it's so sexy & builds bonding between the both of you!

It also shows the guy's got balls to the woman & is flattering for the woman that he can't take his eyes off her, especially if he does it with some sensitivity & style, adds a smile. Besides smiling, locking eyes is a very intimate & one of the main, effective seduction tools.

It's guarrenteed to peek any woman's attention & interest. In fact I personally regard it as a huge turn on if the man shows he's A REAL MAN, by making me break eye contact first. For me the man breaks eye contact after the woman. A sure test I go by that he is a real man, is this eye contact, if he looks away first, before me, can't hold eye contact long, he's failed the first test, he's a wuss & unattractive. To me locking eyes with someone, I don't think can ever be over done, if done correctly.
